In 2025, Dookie Primary School proudly celebrates a remarkable milestone — 150 years of providing quality education to generations of children in the Dookie district. This sesquicentennial is not only a celebration of the longevity of a small rural school, but also an opportunity to reflect on the enduring values of community, connection, and learning that continue to define Dookie PS.

Throughout its long history, Dookie Primary School has played a central role in shaping the identity of the town. Countless Dookie families can trace their roots to the school, with multiple generations having walked the same grounds, sat in the same classrooms, and shared in the same spirit of belonging. This term, we have been learning to speak Italian and expanding our knowledge of Italian culture. To celebrate our progress and enthusiasm, we will hold a Festeggiare l’Italia day. On this special day, students will participate in various activities such as Italian language games, tasting traditional Italian foods, and exploring Italian art and music. This celebration will provide a fun and immersive experience, helping us appreciate the rich heritage of Italy while practicing our language skills.
